My Body Sings Electric have been building their impassioned following in the Denver music scene since the winter of 2007. Their pop-sensible blend of indie and punk is familiar, but unique enough to turn your head. Recently, the band has shifted its musical focus to a more mature sound. They feel poised to receive the type of success a number of famous Denver locals have achieved as a result of the growth the band and the Denver music scene have been through over the last three years. Basically, our focus now is on writing really great songs. We want to make music with the beauty and ambient sounds of lesser known bands who we love, like Circa Survive, Thrice, and Minus the Bear - but we incorporate that style with the energy and catchy-ness of better known bands like 30 Seconds to Mars. - Nick Crawford, guitarist My Body Sings Electric recorded their full-length album, Changing Color, in the winter of 2010 at Interlace Audio in Portland, OR (Drop Dead Gorgeous, Dance Gavin Dance, Lower Definition). Stephan Hawkes produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered the the album. The band was selected as one of the top three bands in KTCL 93.3s Hometown For The Holidays 2010 thanks to the popularity and success of their single, Step Into the Light. Listeners selected them from a very talented group of eleven Colorado bands.
